Tour Plan
LEH (ALT: 11500 / 3505 M) – ACCLIMATIZATION
Reach Leh by morning flight & get transferred to hotel. After freshens up take rest for acclimatization to the high altitude. Later in the afternoon explore Leh market & return to hotel at night for dinner & overnight stay.
LEH SIGHTSEEING
Post breakfast visit Magnetic Hill, Meeting point of Zanskar River & Indus River, and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Visit Spituk Gompa and the Hall of Fame during your return to Leh town. Have dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
LEH – NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDONG LA PASS/125 KM
Post breakfast drives to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, The Highest Motorable road in the World. On the way to Nubra Valley visit Deskit & Hunder Villages and have a Double Hump camel Safari in the Cold Desert (On your Own). Have an overnight stay in a camp at Nubra Valley.
NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE / 4080 M
Post breakfast, proceed towards Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,500 feet. In the late afternoon reach Pangong, it is the highest saltwater Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Witness the changing colors of the Lake at high altitudes. Have dinner & overnight stay at the camp in Pangong.
PANGONG – SHEY – THIKSEY – LEH
Post breakfast check out from camp & return to Leh & on the way visit Shey Palace & Thiksey Monastery. On arrival, check-in at the hotel again in Leh for dinner & overnight stay.
LEH – TSOMORIRI / KORZOK (220 KM /8-10 Hours)
After early breakfast drive to spectacular Tsomo-riri Lake (alt: 15,000 feet) via Chumathang (hot springs), Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Stay overnight at hotel near Tsomoriri. Tsomoriri Lake (It is 28 km long & about 8 km wide which also the breeding place for many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese.)
TSOMORIRI – TSOKAR – TAGLANGLA – LEH
After breakfast retraces the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 meters) to reach the famous salt lake i.e. Tsokar situated near Rupso in Leh district.After sightseeing return to Leh via Taglang-La pass.
LEH AIRPORT DROP
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel & you’ll be dropped at Leh Airport for further journey.
