Shimla Kinnaur Lahaul Spiti Tour via Kalpa Nako Tabo Kaza Kunzum la pass to Manali Package. This trip is possible from June to October only. Exact dates of opening of this route mostly depends on road condition at Kunzum La pass. You will see lush green terrains, Rocky Mountains, beautiful lakes, golden deserts, centuries old monasteries when going through this charismatic tour.
Lahaul Spiti Valley is located in the magnificent and beautiful District of Himachal Pradesh. You can enjoy the scenic landscape of river valleys, snow capped peaks, high passes, icy lakes, and have a look at the glaciers. The place is full of temples and you might come across priests, monasteries, lamas, and yaks. Tour Plan
DAY 01: DELHI – MANALI (570 KM/ 12-14 HOURS)
Report at Delhi Volvo pick up point (on your own) till 5:00 PM. Start overnight journey by Volvo to Manali.
DAY 02: MANALI SITESEEING
Reach Manali in morning & get transferred to hotel (Check in & check out Time as per Hotel Policies & early Check In is subject to availability). After rest & freshens up till 02:00 PM go for half day city tour of Manali which includes – Visit Hadimba Devi Temple (This temple constructed in 1553 A. D. is Dedicated to Mata Hadimba, Himachal’s Most Significant Deity), Vashisht Village & Hot water springs (Dedicated to Vashisht Muni & well known for its hot Curable water) and Tibetan Monastery in Market. In evening explore the Mall Road & IBEX Market of Manali. Stay overnight after dinner in reserved hotel.
DAY 03: MANALI – CHANDERTAAL
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed further towards Chandertaal. On the way take hals at Batal & Chhatru. On arrival, check into the camp. Have dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 4: CHANDERTAAL – KAZA
After breakfast leave for Kaza crossing Kunzum Pass (4558 m). Enroute also drive past some villages of Spiti valley like Losar, Hal and Ragrik. On arrival in Kaza, check in at hotel. Have dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 5: KAZA SIGHTSEEING
Morning visit the Ki-monastery, 12 kms from Kaza. On the way to Kaza, visit a small village Gette. This century – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Also visit the small gompa at Kibber, 9 kms further ahead. Kibber at 4205 m has the distinction of being the highest permanently inhabited village of the region. Overnight at guest house.
DAY 6: KAZA – DHANKAR – TABO
Travel from Kaza to Tabo, Often referred to as the ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’, the Tabo Chos-Khor Monastery was founded more than a thousand years ago in 996 A.D. Untouched by the trials and tribulations of humanity, it has preserved its glorious heritage, traditions and culture of Buddhism through the centuries. Standing serenely in the cold and rocky Tabo Valley, this ancient monastery shows amazing architectural integrity and spiritual richness. On the way visit Dhankar Monastrey. Have dinner & overnight stay at Tabo hotel.
DAY 7: TABO – SISSU
Travel back from Tabo to Sissu. Cross again Kunzum Pass. On arrival, check into the hotel/camp. Have dinner & overnight stay
DAY 8: SISSU – MANALI
After breakfast check out from the hotel and sped some time near a man-made lake. Enjoy boating (on own expenses). On the way, visit a monastery nearby & visit Solang Valley, where you can enjoy various thrilling adventure activities like Paragliding, Ropeway Ride, Zorbing, Horse Riding at own cost. Reach Manali & check into the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 9: MANALI SIGHTSEEING – DELHI
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Manali Market. Spend some time in the Nature Park (Van Vihar). In late afternoon, you’ll be dropped at Manali Volvo Stand for further journey.
