Tour Plan
Day 01: SRINAGAR ARRIVAL & HOUSEBOAT STAY
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, meet our representative & get transferred to the Houseboat. After rest & freshens up, enjoy Shikara Ride on famous Dal Lake. Spend evening in leisure, enjoying Houseboat facilities. Have dinner & overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 02: SRINAGAR SIGHTSEEING & SHIKARA RIDE
Post breakfast, check out from the houseboat & visit famous Mughal Gardens like Nishat Garden & Shalimar Garden, Chashme-e-Shahi, Pari Mahal & Shankracharya Temple. In evening, check into the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 03: SRINAGAR – GULMARG (52 KM/2 Hours) – SRINAGAR
Post breakfast, proceed further towards Gulmarg. Enjoy beautiful surroundings and Pony Ride (On own expenses). Have a Gondola Ride (on own expenses). It has two phases; Phase-I is from Gulmarg to Kungdoor & Phase-II is from Kungdoor to Affarwatt. Then visit a small Shiva Temple & Gulmarg Golf course, which is in existence for 100 years. One can also hire a local vehicle or pony (on own expenses) to visit Bota Pathri in Nagin Valley, which is recently opened to tourists. In late afternoon return to Srinagar hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 04: SRINAGAR – PAHALGAM (92 KM/3-4 Hours)
Post breakfast drive to Pahalgam. On the way visit Saffron fields & witnesses the beautiful mountains & green pine forests and drive along the Lidder River. On arrival at Pahalgam, check-in to the Hotel. Enjoy local sightseeing of Pahalgam, Have a Pony Ride, (on own expenses). Enjoy River Rafting in Lidder River (on own expenses), which is held from April to June month. In late evening return to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 05: PAHALGAM SIGHTSEEING – SRINAGAR (92 KM/3-4 Hours)
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed to cover full day sightseeing including Aru Valley, Chandanwari, Betaab Valley, Posh Wan, Deer Park, Mamal Temple etc. (all sightseeing by local cab, on own expenses). Later drive back towards Srinagar. Have dinner & overnight stay at Srinagar Hotel.
Day 06: SRINAGAR – SONAMARG (80 KM/3-4 Hours) – KARGIL (125 KM/4 Hours)
Post breakfast proceed towards Kargil. On the way visit Sonamarg also known as “The Meadow of Gold”. Take a pony ride out here (On own expenses) and enjoy the white mountains covered with snow and the river Sindh flowing through the valley. After Sonmarg, road is mostly rough and wet till Zojila pass (Gateway of Ladakh). Then drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world), stop here for tea and regular checking. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil which does have its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Have dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 07: KARGIL – LEH (220 KM/5-6 Hours)
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive to Leh. We have to cross the Fotula Pass & Lamayuru Monastery, village Nimu with a view of Zanskar River following into Indus. Visit Magnetic Hill, Meeting point of Zanskar River & Indus River and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Finally, we’ll reach Leh. Have dinner & overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: LEH – NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNGLA PASS (160 KM/5-6 Hours)
Post breakfast drives to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, The Highest Motorable road in the World. On the way to Nubra Valley visit Deskit & Hunder Villages and have Double Hump camel Safari in Cold Desert (On your Own). Have overnight stay in a camp at Nubra Valley.
Day 09: NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE (275 KM /7-8 Hours)
Post breakfast, proceed towards Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,500 feet. In late afternoon reach Pangong, it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Witness the changing colors of the Lake at high altitude. Have dinner & overnight stay at the camp in Pangong.
Day 10: PANGONG – SHEY – THIKSEY – LEH (234 KM /6-8 Hours)
Post breakfast check out from camp & return to Leh & on the way visit Shey Palace & Thiksey Monastery. On arrival, check-in at the hotel again in Leh for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 11: LEH DEPARTURE TRANSFER
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel & you’ll be dropped at Leh Airport for further journey.

My parents just finished leh ladakh tour through Best Escape Holidays company...They had an wonderful experience there....
