This trip is possible from June to October only. Exact dates of opening of this route mostly depends on road condition at Kunzum La pass. You will see lush green terrains, Rocky Mountains, beautiful lakes, golden deserts, centuries old monasteries when going through this charismatic tour.
Lahaul Spiti Valley is located in the magnificent and beautiful District of Himachal Pradesh. You can enjoy the scenic landscape of river valleys, snow capped peaks, high passes, icy lakes, and have a look at the glaciers. The place is full of temples and you might come across priests, monasteries, lamas, and yaks. Tour Plan
DAY 1: DELHI – SHIMLA
On arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station, our cab will pick you up & you’ll start the journey towards Shimla. On reaching Shimla check into the hotel. Have dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2: SHIMLA – KUFRI – SARAHAN
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed further towards Sarahan. On the way visit Kufri (It is one the best ski point in winters and in summers, it turns into a famous tourist picnic spot). On arrival at Sarahan, check into the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 3: SARAHAN – SANGLA – CHHITKUL – SANGLA
After breakfast visit to Bhimakali Temple, it is revered as one of the fifty one Shaktipeeth. After visitng Holy Temple, start your journey towards Sangla Valley which is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. In Tibetan, the term Sangala means “Pass of Light” which refers to the valley receiving plenty of sunlight during the day.
DAY 4: SANGLA – NAKO – TABO
Morning after breakfast proceeds for Tabo & visit Nako on the way. Nako Lake, this is one of Kinnaur`s most picturesque hamlets, Nako is slated to be declared a heritage village build around a small lake and has an important Buddhist Gompa and a small temples, A footprint like impression on a rock is ascribed to the saint Guru Padmasambhava. Stay overnight at Tabo.
DAY 5: TABO – KALPA
After Breakfast check out & visit Tabo. There is modern gompa and painting school founded by the Dalai Lama. Even Today Tabo holds the distinction of being the largest monastic complex in Spiti, constructed in 996 AD. Then return back to Kalpa. Stay overnight at Kalpa.
DAY 6: KALPA – NARKANDA
After breakfast start your journey towards Narkanda. On arrival, check into the hotel & visit Hatu Mata Temple in evening. Later return to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
DAY 7: NARKANDA – DELHI
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and return back to Delhi. On arrival, you’ll be dropped at Delhi Airport / Railway Station for further journey.
